About 28,500 vehicles are affected
Porsche has issued two separate recalls of about 28,500 sedans, sports cars, and SUVs because of concerns about brake warning light and possible gasoline leaks .
One recall affects 2017-2019 Cayenne SUVs and Panamera sedans. Motorists may not be advised as expected when the brake pads have worn out, putting them at risk of a gate-crash, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Trader will correct their own problems by updating the instrument cluster software .
Separately, Porsche is recollecting 14,388 of its 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman sports cars because a piece of the luggage compartment bracket can detach in a gate-crash and lead to a gasoline divulge. NHTSA says a divulge was discovered during a frontal gate-crash exam is engaged in February. Fuel divulges raise health risks of a flame, NHTSA says .
Both recalls are expected to begin April 21, 2019. Porsche will notify owneds, and pushers will perform the work free of charge .

The vehicles: 14,110 cars and SUVs incuding :
- 2017-2018 Panamera cars
- 2019 Cayenne S and Cayenne SUVs .
The problem: The tool cluster may not inform drivers as expected that the brake pads have worn out .
The fix: Merchants will update the instrument cluster software at no charge to owneds. The recollect work is expected to begin April 21, 2019.
