BMW unveiled this Individual-trimmed M850i back in January in anticipation of a comet shower, generosity of asteroid 2003 EH. While most asteroid fragments burn off in our sky, some actually break through as meteorites.

That leads us to why this special edition 8-Series is called' Night Sky '. The Bavarian automaker actually took fragments of extra-terrestrial lineage and used them throughout the car's cabin- which you can see for yourselves if you happen to visit Geneva this year.

A true-blue one-off

Since BMW is unlikely to get into the room cliff business, you can look at this vehicle as a true-blue 1 of 1. Meteoric material can be found on the center console's trim plateful, start/ stop button, gear lever, touch controller for the iDrive organization and on the door sill finishers.

This also symbols the first time we've actually considered its entire dashboard intend( steering wheel included ), since the initial press release photos focused exclusively on the seats and the high-value faces.

The M850 Night Sky boasts a dual feeling Midnight blue and Opal white-hot fine-grain Merino leather interior, with Midnight Blue deep-pile carpeting. Of track, if you count the silver leather used on the seat bolsters, then you could call it a tri-tone interior.

As for the exterior, there's a non-metallic black located dye used for the body, with a San Marino Blue metallic coating decorated over it gradually. The reason why it sparkles though is that BMW Individual too exercised three beds of clear coating with running pigment particle sizes.

The BMW M850i is powered by a 4.4 -liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, inducing 530 PS( 523 HP) and 553 lb-ft( 750 Nm) of torque. With the assistance provided by an 8-speed manual transmission, it can projectile from zero to 100 km/ h( 62 mph) in merely 3.7 seconds.
