General Motors's Opel to take on Fiat and its 500 with New Mini Car

Post a Comment

Last month, we advised you that General Motors' European Opel / Vauxhall division announced the development of a brand new small car beneath the Corsa. Now, Autonews is reporting the auto, that is codenamed "Junior", can be a funky upscale inspiration designed to compete with Fiat's 500 mini in one of the smallest - literally - segments of all of them.

Opel/Vauxhall's income and advertising head Alain Visser hinted that the auto might be an "iPod on wheels" and aimed squarely at younger consumers with their high-tech desires. The "Junior", which starts manufacturing in Germany in 2013, can also be supplied in an electric taste.

Opel CEO Nick Reilly says. "It may have the latest infotainment structures and appropriate fuel economy to make it environmentally friendly. For that, shoppers can pay a little greater."

In addition to being inclined to pay greater, ability customers will be inexperienced, cool, and all of the different bla-bla all of us's pushing nowadays. Regardless of the advertising gibberish, Opel's recent offerings have been attractive enough to suggest a promising 500-fighter.
