Subaru UK Presents 2011 WRX STI, Drops Impreza Name from Halo Model, Introduces Sedan Version

Subaru's UK arm has decided to make the WRX STI its own standalone version for 2011, losing the "Impreza" reference from the street-going rally automobile's name. As in different markets, the United Kingdom's STI will once more be to be had in sedan and 5-door hatch variations and p.C. A turbocharged 2.Five-liter four-cylinder boxer engine making 300 horsepower and 407 Nm / 300 lb feet of torque.

For 2011, the UK's STI gets Subaru's "spec. C" suspension setup offering a decrease experience and wider tires wrapped round lighter wheels. Other than that, the auto hits 100 km/h [62 mph] from standstill in 5.2 seconds, has a pinnacle velocity of 158 mph [254 km/h] in sedan shape, and meets Euro 5 emissions requirements.

In Britain, the 2011 WRX STI will start including alternatives at ?32,995 for both the 4- or five-door model. We're not certain yet if the "Impreza" call will be dropped from Subaru's halo automobile in other markets, however it may be a opportunity as Fuji Heavy Industries' all-wheel pressure automaker attempts to revise its lineup.

An STI as a pronounced representative of the Subaru brand might be a ambitious flow for a logo that has gone from specific and exciting to boring and non-aggressive [WRX / STI models aside, of course] over the last few years.
