A new Porsche 718 Boxster Spyder is on its way. We've been seeing spy videos of the car testing on the Nurburgring for nearly a year now, and this latest clip is a good indicator of what it'll sound like.
We learned in January the Cayman GT4 road car wouldn't be getting the race car variant's 3.8-liter flat-six, meaning the only option is the GT3's naturally aspirated 4.0-liter unit. Since the GT4 and the Boxster Spyder share powertrains, it's possible that's the engine powering the car you see here. Take a listen and judge for yourself.
