Not all crossovers and SUVs age well, but the subtle, simply styled Q5 still examines handsome after almost a decade in Audi's lineup. Throughout its life, good develop character has been a strong point. The 2017 prototype year will be the first-generation Q5' s last-place, as a replacement was exhibited in early fall of 2016.
Design factors hail from Audi's group of sedans. Specifically, the Q5 is related to the prior-generation A4, which ranked amongst the German automaker's excellent. In general, designers haven't is seeking to overrun the Q5' s carlike curves, retaining its exterior free of theatre and maybe negative stuns.

Despite its status as one of the oldest crossover SUVs in its category, the Q5 makes plaudits for its roomy and comfortable room- and its indulgence contacts. Highly refined and suitably finished, the room illustrates strong attention to details, as well as to trim picks. The interior also procreates good application of available space, assisted by an upright dashboard.
Following a cockpit-style layout with a comparatively wide-cut center console, the move and fare are well divided. Although it's a bit cluttered, the dashboard presents a consolidated expression. Trim alternatives include freshly optional layered oak grove.
Both the move and front fare have good ideas ahead, and satisfying tushes. A comparatively long wheelbase is translated into adequate legroom for back-seat inmates. Back tushes don't clog often of the rearward vistum, and outside mirrors are large-scale.

The base pose gets a lot of useful vigour out of its 220 -horsepower engine, despite having to push more than two tons of crossover. Turbo lag isn't obviou, either. Picking the 3.0 -liter V6 contributes some 250 pounds, restraint the performance lift from the additional 52 horsepower.
Audi's 8-speed automatic drive responds well to calls for changing, and boasts closely-spaced gear ratios. Standard quattro all-wheel drive facilitates the Q5 breeze through snow and romp up slick driveways, helped by 8-inch dirt permission.
Carlike handling and a taut exclusion fruit a house, well-controlled ride. In standard pattern, the exclusion equips natural responses to sidewalk imperfections. Facilitated by its lighter weight, the four-cylinder Q5 excels in passing and cornering capabilities. Electric power steering restrictions street suffer, but the Q5 stays readily on course and is agreeably predictable.
Road noise may be noticeable in four-cylinder frameworks, but tight body structure ensues in a polished street event.
Ranking as a true-life rendition pose, the potent SQ5 is flatly speedy. Even with the adaptive exclusion, however, expect some person bun during hard cornering. That's a price to be paid for a top-heavy crossover SUV.
Fuel-efficiency means nothing to boasting about. Four-cylinder frameworks are EPA-rated at 20/27 mpg City/ Highway, or 22 mpg Blended. The Q5' s 3.0 -liter V6 is EPA-rated at 18/26 mpg City/ Highway, or 21 mpg Blended, while the SQ5 is estimated at 17/24 mpg City/ Highway, or 19 mpg Blended.

Regardless of age, the Q5 remains one of the most desirable luxury SUVs, promising carlike handling and plentiful interior infinite. Simple styling and quality materials have helped it remain viable. Abundantly equipped in each trim elevation, the Q5 realizes the most sense in four-cylinder pattern.
